Acai Berry Power 500 Diet: The New Diet Fraud?

by Alex on November 7, 2008

In an earlier article I wrote, I talked about how you should be careful with Acai Berry Offer. If you go to that page, you can read the comments of a representative from the company behind Pure Acai Berry and also their customer. Later, I am shocked to find out that many people were “scammed”(in their words) into Acai Berry offers. Following you will find out the whole story:

“Essentially, Acai Berry offers can pay out $35 for a free trial because they know almost all consumers will get billed AT LEAST once because they didn’t read the terms. In those cases people then cancel and maybe they are out $79 if they didn’t realize in time. Not the end of the world.

But this company (name withdrawn) takes it a step further by making their cancellation line busy 99.9% of the time. And when you do get through, you will be on hold for 45 minutes, until you hang up in frustration. Sometimes the number on their sites doesn’t even work at all.

So now people are getting billed over and over and they can’t stop it no matter how hard they try. Then, in the end, people have to cancel their credit cards, which is a pretty big deal if you ask me.”  (Source)

If you do a search on internet, you will find out plenty of complaints against Acai Berry offer. No doubt, Oprah and Dr Perrisone endorsed Acai Berry as a powerful antioxidant. However, to my knowledge, they recommend none of the Acai Berry in the market. According to Dr. Perrisone:
“Although Acai may not be available in your local supermarket, you can find it in several health food and gourmet stores (often in juice form). A new product featuring the unsweetened pulp is now also available, and I highly recommend that you choose this form of Acai.” (Source)
Bottom line? If you see any “free offer” of Acai Berry, run! You will save yourself a lot of troubles and money. If you are keen to lose the extra pounds, read my personal experience here: How I lost 10 pounds in 1 week
